Dear Diary, July 17, 1984

Boy what a day! I went to recreation. It was fun. I got another birthday present from Mary & Dennis. It was a pen that you write with on shirts and stuff and it would puff up. and a writing pad it smells nice. I also went rollerskating with Shannon. Celine works there. It was loads of fun. I met this guy he can break dance!

I don't remember the breakdancer 🕺🏻. I wish I could remember though! For those of my friends and family who know that I "like" to rollerskate... I think now you can see why I have such a ❤️ for it! Our rollerskating rink was our ice arena in town in the spring/summer. It was amazing I tell ya. Have you ever rollerskated? It is one of the most freeing and unbelievable feelings I have ever felt. Gliding along.... it's like the closest I can come to flying. Yes, Ken, just like kitesurfing 😌.

So funny that this diary entry came up today because I bought rollerskates a few days ago!!! I cannot wait to try them out once our winter has ended in August! I should have a good couple of weeks to use them.... Gonna have to get a cool helmut, cuz the ol' bike helmut is not going to be cool enough. And I AM cool. 🤘🏻

Maybe, I will even be able to rollerskate to Safeway... bring back groceries via baby jogger.... 🤔. Anything to make that thorn in my side not seem so bad. The possibilities are endless! I can probably rollerskate to work too! And I bet my job would get done a lot faster and be a lot more fun if I was allowed to wear them AT work! I bet many of my patient's would LOVE it! Although... I'd have to wear a plastic covering of some sort over them.... so I don't get 💩 and other bodily fluids on them... Wait. I could have two pairs. One for work and one for home. I am brilliant.
