Dear Diary, August 22/84

Sorry I haven't written in so long. It's just that I have to go to bed right away. Mom and Dad are going to Alabama tomorrow. I am staying with Grandma. We are going to Fort Steele on the 24th with recreation. We had a track and field day. And in everything I did I got a first. I got 6 firsts. It's just about time to go back to school. I want to and I don't want to. I stayed over at Nicholes place on Sunday. I went to Fairmont today with Iona. She had to take Nathan to swimming lessons. I went yesterday to for Monday night. We went to Elko for a ball tournament and dad's team lost first two games. So they were out of it. Grandma's team just had a tournament in Kimberley. They didn't do to good either. We camped up there. I met a girl named Andrea. What a goof! She's only one year older than me (13) and she was pitching for grandma's team! She did good too! Well that's all I can think of right now!

Goodbye!

Love Crystal

What a glorious day it has started to be already! I am sitting in my comfy chair at our kitchen table and the sun is beaming down her wonderfully needed rays of warmth upon me. Right through my hoodie. I'm probably cooking my insides but I don't give a fuck. She feels soooooooooo gooooooooooood ☀️☀️☀️. It truly is magical and amazing at how much the sun affects my being. Insert (why the fuck do I live in Northern Alberta then?). Working on that........ Big plans! BIG

Another love of mine. Fastball. Not baseball. Not slowpitch. But the best way to play ball.... fastball. The pitcher is the most amazing part of the game in. my opinion. The windmill pitch is such a freaking cool talent. When I was little I remember watching my Dad on the pitcher's mound and I wanted to be cool like him too 😎. He taught me how to be a fastball pitcher and I am forever grateful for that. I had so many fun years of travelling around with our Canal Flats team. My catcher's were usually Vivian and Nelly. They rocked it 🤘🏻. Although, I do recall hurting Viv's nose? one time? 👃🏻🤕. Also, my Gram was an amazing pitcher for her team too!!! She was an amazing lady that gal. So inspirational. It was rather cool because if Dad's team was going somewhere for the weekend to play a tournament usually the ladies team went too, so we all got to camp together and have soooooo much fun! Grandma, Celine, Janet... Shannon? They all played for the ladies team so I got to hang with them alot. I had such a wonderful childhood man. So grateful.

I am going to go outside at some point today and enjoy the beautiful weather. Hope you all get to enjoy some too. Life is short. Do the things that you enjoy. It could be your last day here, your last moment. Don't take things for granted. Hug those people you love. Tell them how they make you feel. You will be surprised at how many people "look" like they are golden but on the inside it may be a totally different story. You may help someone believe in the world again. You may help them believe that us humans are loving and kind. You may change their moment.... which may change their hour.... which may change their day.... which may change their week... which may change their life. Kindness is the answer to everything here 🌎

K. Gotta go be kind. 🤘🏻😜🤘🏻
